Liz grew up in Franklin, TN, and has been pursuing art since childhood.  She took every art class available in high school and won several awards in student shows. Liz graduated with a Bacherlor's degree in music and art from Union University in Jackson, TN.

A few years after graduating from college, Liz decided she needed to pursue her passion for art more seriously. She had been drawing and painting portraits for several years, but still felt she had more to learn as an artist. So she enrolled in the Angel Academy of Art in Florence, Italy in July 2005. She took a portrait workshop with founder of the school Michael John Angel, and stayed on for the fall trimester for additional studies.

Liz returned from Italy in December of 2005 and has been busy painting and drawing ever since.

Liz's portraits hang in private collections in Tennessee, Minnesota, Georgia and Indiana. Other works, including landscapes, still-lifes, and figures, are in private collections in Arizona, New Jersey, Tennessee, Colorado, and Florida.
